A wonderful evening at Duchess Slade's tea-house

We had a wonderful evening at the tea-house on Wednesday evening. After being entertained by the lovely geisha dancers we sat around drinking hot saki and reading the beautiful Japanese poetry from the box on the table. This stimulated our creative juices and we decided to write some of our own. I was not familiar with this kind of verse, but was told that it is composed in a strict 3 line stanza of 5,7,5 syllables. Not as easy as it seems, but here is an example of our humble offerings.
